Many school districts around the country use some type of systems approach to reach goals. However, most districts focus their efforts on the instructional employees, those with the closest connection to the classroom. It is important for teachers and students to use research and data to make decisions on how to demonstrate improvement, but in this District, CI is for everyone.

Since its inception in 2004, the District has emphasized the training of all employees in CI and the implementation of both campus and department plans. All plans are aligned to the District’s strategic five-year goals and include the use of PDSA and quality tools. In order to be as efficient and effective as possible, CI must be deployed throughout the District.
