Those middle years between elementary school and high school are not just a bridge from one age group to another. In HEB ISD, students continue to acquire that “edge” that began in elementary school, by building upon the foundation, flexing those academic muscles, and taking new knowledge with them to high school.

All HEBISD junior high schools offer pre-IB courses, preparing students for the rigor of the global high school curriculum.

Central Junior High is the home campus for the district’s award-winning Secondary Orchestra, which grew out of the Suzuki Strings program. Central is also the home to the International Business Initiative, where seventh, eighth and ninth grade students are able to take Hindi, Mandarin Chinese, or Arabic.
