Follow-up: Stonegate Helps Ship NASA's Training Model

A few months ago, Stonegate Elementary 5th graders worked with Steve Stewart of Sealed Air on a big project. The students drew a huge grid to accurately position foam blocks, to protect a NASA Shuttle Training Model during shipping. During the summer, that grid was put into action!

In these new photos, you can see the grid and foam blocks set up at the Johnson Space Center, followed by the Cargo Bays of the model being lowered into place on top. Steve says "The grid system that Stonegate Elementary helped create was a big hit with NASA."
