Meteorologist, Colleen Coyle from WFAA Channel 8 recently visited Wilshire Elementary third graders for an up close and interactive presentation all about the weather. During the presentation titled "Weatherminds" students learned about tornadoes, lightning, hurricanes, and more along with important safety tips to follow in accordance with particular weather situations. Students were also excited to learn how to build their very own tornado using two liter plastic bottles and make their hair stand on end with the electrostatic charge of a balloon.
