High School Seniors Interned with NGDI and Huckabee

Alyssa Jennings of L.D. Bell High School and Ki'ara Torrence of Trinity High School participated in the Next Generation Design Institute this summer. NGDI is a 10-day summer internship program for high school juniors and seniors with an interest in architecture.

This year's interns worked with the staff at Huckabee to reinvent YMCA Fort Worth's Camp Carter as an exciting, new experience for children of the 21st century. Alyssa and Ki'ara developed a new site plan including the 350-acre camp's indoor and outdoor spaces, built models and visual aids, and presented the plan to a panel of judges and the Huckabee team.
