Grandma Ruffman had been arrested; detectives said that she had baked a metal file into a cake for her brother Scruff Ruffman. Students watched for a chemical change in their cup of baking soda, baking powder, or cornstarch when various liquids were added, to prove whether Grandma was innocent!
