Harwood Jr. High Students Animate Stages of Meiosis
Students in Mrs. Morgan's PAP biology class at Harwood Junior High used smartphones and other technology tools to create claymation animations about cell reproduction. Meiosis has many stages and it can be a challenging concept to master. Students worked cooperatively building their cells, labeled the parts of each stage, and then photographed their creations. The final product was put together in MovieMaker or PhotoStory and set to their favorite music. Students enjoyed watching each other's claymation videos the following week in class.
