Hurst Hills Class Sends Pillowcases to Overseas Soldiers
This year, Ms. Holz's 2nd grade class at Hurst Hills Elementary took to heart the message of the holiday tale "Auntie Claus, the Spirit of Giving" by Elise Primavera. Following the book's theme that it is better to give than to receive, the class decided that they wanted to give back to others during this holiday season. Each student made a personal card, wrote a letter of appreciation for their service, and created a one-of-a-kind pillowcase for our soldiers overseas. These pillowcases were delivered to the Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas, who placed these pillowcases in the hands of our dedicated troops this holiday season.
