HEB ISD Recognizes Elainie Lopez!

Alumna, Trinity HS

Excelling at an Architectural Firm's Exclusive Internship

In June, Trinity High School alumni Elainie Lopez joined five other students to design a self-sustaining house for a local school. The project was organized by the Next Generation Design Institute, a 10-day internship program hosted by Huckabee, a Fort Worth architectural firm. Each team of students developed a concept, constructed models, and presented their designs for a house that was completely "off the grid" -- meaning, the house would provide all energy for itself through wind, sun or other sustainable energy sources. As part of the winning team, Elainie Lopez received a $2,350 scholarship.
