A Teacher to Be Remembered

I would like to recognize Ms. Barbara Perk for her dedication to her students. She teaches 9th grade Algebra 1 and my daughter, Sara, had her last year. She always encouraged Sara to do her best, giving her the confidence she needed to be a successful student in her class. Sara received the Lions Club Award at the end of the year. She asked Ms. Perk if she nominated her, Ms. Perk just smiled and said "I can't tell you". She was always available for tutorials before and after school. Many times, Sara took advantage of the tutorials. She was fair to her students and always made time to answer their questions. She would e-mail me to let me know how proud she is of Sara and how far she had come from the beginning of the school year, she really cared about her students. I believe Ms. Perk is the type of teacher a student will remember for a life time.
