Supports Students Toward Becoming Caring People

Mr. Rawls embodies every trait that a parent hopes for in a teacher. Mr. Rawls truely loves his job, and it shows in everything he does. In addition to teaching Science and Social Studies to 5th graders - he also "teaches" how to be a respectful and caring person. And he doesn't stop being a teacher to a student once they move on to the next grade. My son is now a 6th grader, and Mr. Rawls often "checks in" to see how it's going, offering encouragement and support when needed. We are very fortuate to have such a marvelous teacher and person caring and supporting our kiddos. As Mr. Rawls says, "once you've been my student - you're always mine!"
