The mission of the HEB ISD Education Foundation is to raise and award private funds and community resources to support the HEB ISD's commitment to excellence in education. The Foundation, established in 1995, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization guided by a volunteer board of directors who have a sincere interest in the success of our students and staff.
Caring citizens, elected officials, educators, parents, alumni, corporate partners, and business leaders, demonstrate support of the HEB ISD through their participation in the good work of the Foundation. Please join us.
To date, the Foundation has raised and awarded more than $770,000 to our deserving HEB ISD classrooms and campuses, funding a diverse array of needs identified by our educators. This year's grant winners included innovative initiatives like Makerspaces in all elementary school libraries, electrophoresis equipment, multicultural literature, music and fitness combined curriculum, and funding developing leaders who will make a difference in our schools and community. Each spring, the Foundation takes great pride in recognizing outstanding high school seniors from L.D. Bell, Trinity, and KEYS and their teacher mentors through our Awards of Excellence program. This year, we will be expanding our reach to include several fields of study that represent the new programs offered through the Gene A. Buinger Career and Technical Education Academy.
