News & Announcements
Dear HEB ISD Community:
The 84th Legislature passed House Bill 2804, changing the Texas school accountability system so every campus and district receives A-F grades based on five (5) domains and a single overall combined grade. The official ratings will be issued for the first time in August 2018. However, the Texas Education Agency has issued what they call a "Work-in-Progress" report.
Here are some things I would ask you to keep in mind in regard to this "rough draft" report:
- All HEB ISD campuses and the District received the highest ratings in the current accountability system, and we are proud of our students and teachers for their performance in those areas.
- In HEB ISD we consistently monitor and adjust our district and campus improvement plans and align them with state performance demands.
- We will continue to align the work of the district to our strategic plan, which is perfectly aligned to help us meet and exceed the expectations of our community.
The state will continue to develop the new A-F Accountability System throughout the next year. Until the final standards for A-F have been released, we believe following our current improvement processes is our best course of action to continue to improve our schools and district and to prepare us for these new standards in 2018.
Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District will continue its proud tradition of excellence as a diverse, high-performing organization committed to ensuring each student is empowered today to excel tomorrow.
Please contact your campus principal if you have any questions. Thank you for partnering with us for student success.
