| On Friday, January 31, fifth grade students at Donna Park Elementary School in Hurst will watch the sixth graders perform "Clue: A Murder Mystery Party" and try to figure out who did it, where, and with which weapon. Another group of sixth graders will perform a variety and talent show, and kindergarten students will have special activities of their own. These special projects are part of the school's participation in the "Kindness and Justice Challenge" organized by Martin Luther King III to honor his father, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Beginning on the day after Dr. King's holiday, sixth grade students have spent the last nine days performing random acts of kindness and organizing and planning special projects. Kindergarten students will participate in dancing, donut racing, a magic show, and beanbag toss, from 8:40am - 10:00am. The "Clue" performances will be at 10:30am, 10:45am, and 11:00am. Finally, several classes will sit back and enjoy a talent show with acts performed by another sixth grade class from 1:30pm-2:00pm. The acts include comedians, singers, hula dancers, swing dancers, step team members, and magicians. |
