"I learn so much when I'm out there, on stage," she said. "It makes me a better teacher.

The Betty Lynn Buckley Awards, named in honor of Fort Worth’s own Tony award-winning actress Betty Lynn Buckley, celebrates excellence in musical theatre production among participating Tarrant County high schools. Any high school in Tarrant County that is producing a fall, winter or spring musical is eligible to participate in the program. A panel of distinguished judges views each production and then votes for a winner in each of the 16 award categories.
