Children’s Pants Will Help the Clothes Closet Get a Leg Up this Season

The PTA Clothes Closet has some specific needs this month, and volunteer Melody Davenport hopes local HEB residents will come through again before students go on their holiday break.

“Our coat drive was such a success,” she said. “However, our needs change often, and while we have lots of beautiful coats, we now really need children’s pants.”

Davenport said the Clothes Closet needs the following specific items:

Boys and girls pants, children's sizes 4 to 18, in the following styles - jeans, khakis, sweat pants, other styles of pull-on pants, capris, dress pants, and denim shorts.

“We currently have a good supply of junior, and adult male and females pants but we are running short on children's sizes, particularly 8, 10 and 12,” Davenport said.

The Clothes Closet is normally open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., as long as students are in session. However, they will be closed Friday, December 7.

They will be open December 10, 12, 14, 17, and 19, before the winter school break. After the holidays, they will open again January 7, 2008.

The address is 1100 Raider Drive in Euless, just behind the Keys Learning Center and next to the FEW gymnasium. Call 817-399-2559 to make other drop-off arrangements, and leave a message if no one answers.
