Both High Schools’ One Act Plays Advance to District Plays and Casts Collect Theatre Awards One Act Play casts of both LD Bell and Trinity high schools have advanced to the District UIL One Act Play contest, Thursday, March 27 at Nimitz High School in Irving. In addition to advancing the play to district level competition, individual cast members collected numerous awards during the zone competition March 19. LD Bell High School “One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest” Outstanding Tech - Hunter LeMoine Honorable Mention Cast - Victoria San Miguel, Henry Strittmatter, Nick Jones, Chris Hassler All-Star Cast - Christopher Hershenburg, Caleb Rains Best Actor - John Hayes for his role as Randle P. MacMurphy Trinity High School “Sylvia” Outstanding Tech - Peyton Nichols Honorable Mention Cast - Nahil Hamam, Nick Campo All-Star Cast - Cody Appleton, Daniel Ceske, Samantha Taylor Best Actress - Amanda Brackman for her role as Sylvia Mark Chandler, director of visual and performing arts, said both casts were outstanding. “This is a fantastic amount of awards given to both schools,” he said. “And every member of the Trinity cast received an individual award, and that almost never happens.” Chandler said he encourages Bell and Trinity supporters to attend the district performances this Thursday in Irving.
