American Sign Language Club / Ms. Ruiz
ASL club is a welcoming environment for anyone who knows or wants to learn American Sign Language through activities and practice. This can be a useful skill for communication among a multitude of populations. All are welcome to learn and participate!

Cheerleading / Mrs. Shaw & Mrs. Lopez
Cheerleading is an after-school activity that 7th and 8th graders try out for in February. At BJH, cheerleaders attend and cheer at football, volleyball, and basketball games. In addition, they perform in pep rallies and volunteer in many school-sponsored events.

Chess Club / Mrs. Burdett
Chess Club challenges individuals to think critically, problem solve, and learn new things. This club will provide a safe environment for students to learn about the game of chess and spend time with other students who enjoy the game. During club meetings, we will learn the basics of the game, learn new strategies, and participate in matches.

FCA / Ms. Pembleton
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is an organization that seeks to bring Christ to our school campus. FCA equips & engages athletes to know & grow in their relationship with Christ, while also leading others to do the same. FCA is for everyone! Every Friday we have a time of worship, a short devotion, and prayer time for our students, staff, and community. Junior World Affairs Council (JWAC) / Mrs. Kraft
JWAC is a great way for high school students to learn about international issues and become more globally aware. From service projects to events such as International Career Day and Academic World Quest, students are given opportunities to better understand complex global issues as well as make connections to their daily lives.

Students have the opportunity to build, create, and make in a variety of ways that stretch the way they think. Students will have new opportunities each meeting to try something new and fun!

National Junior Honor Society / Mrs. Keneda
National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is an organization by invitation that supports the community and school campus. It is a national organization with five pillars. At BJH, we support scholarship, service, leadership, character and citizenship through our actions on and off campus. Induction ceremonies are in the spring of the school year. There is a yearly fee and service hours are required.

The mission of the Bedford Junior High Spanish Club is to celebrate Hispanic heritage and culture, and promote interest in the Spanish language. The intent is to be both educational and fun for its members who will look beyond the doors of their own homes and school to touch the lives of others.
