How much does Extended Day cost?
The Extended Day Academy fee is $200 per month. The August/September payment is due by the first day of school. The second payment will be due on October 1st. November through May tuition payment will be due on the 1st of the month.
There is also a one-time Non-Refundable Registration Fee of $25 per student. -
What are the hours for Extended Day?
Your children are welcome to stay with us in Extended Day Academy from 3:00 when school ends until 6:00 in the evening. Late fees will be assessed if your child is not picked up by 6:00 PM.

Does Extended Day provide snacks?
Yes, our Child Nutrition department provides a snack daily.
Our EDA parents may provide snacks and a drink for their own child. Please do not send peanuts or nuts due to airborne allergies. -
Is Extended Day open on school holidays?
No. We are closed on the days that the students are not in school, including school holidays. For dates of the school calendar, visit the HEB ISD Calendar page.

Where does the Extended Day Academy take place?
Our program takes place at the school your child attends. We have our program at all 21 HEB ISD Elementary Campuses.

How do I pick up my child?
You will come in through the designated EDA entrance. You will then sign your child out and a staff member will use their walkie-talkie to call for your child to come to the designated pickup area. Students rotate through various sections of the building so for expediency sake your child will meet you at the sign out area.

Who is working with and for our students in the Extended Day Academy?
Our staff consists of a district coordinator, an administrative assistant, and a bookkeeper. On each Elementary campus we have a manager who is responsible for the daily operation of the EDA program. Staff members work alongside site managers. Our staff members consist of retired teachers, parents, college students (many in the education area), and occasionally a high school student who wants to become a teacher. All staff members after being interviewed, have a background check, and then are trained to work with our children.

Is there homework time?
Homework time is built into the beginning of the rotation. Due to the rotation schedule, your child may not complete all homework assigned but will be provided time to work on their assignments.

How do I pay my child's tuition?
We have many payment options to help our parents:
- You may enroll in automatic withdrawal (ACH). Your payment will be automatically withdrawn monthly on the 3rd.
- You may set up payment through the Procare payment system using and pay by credit card or bank card.
- Set up auto bill pay through your bank.
- Pay by check or money order at the campus. Checks should be made out to HEB ISD. In the memo line please write your child's name and the name of the school.
(All tuition is due no later than the 5th. A late fee of $40.00 will be assessed on the 5th at 7:00pm.) -
Are the school doors unlocked?
No, In order to gain entrance into the building to pick up your child, you will need to ring the doorbell that is located by the EDA door. An EDA staff member will come open the door for you. If they do not recognize you they will ask for your ID and child's name.

Can other people pick up my child from EDA?
Yes, others can pick up your child once you have provided their name to the EDA campus manager on the registration form.

How do I handle questions or concerns?
We ask that you direct any questions to the Extended Day Academy Campus Site Manager. If the situation is not resolved please contact the Extended Day district office at 817-399-2083.
