1701 W. Euless Blvd. - Bond 23 Updates
Construction Plan
The building at 1701 W. Euless Blvd. is in solid condition and does not need to be torn down. Instead, the work to prepare the building includes renovations, repairs, and repurposing spaces to fit the needs of HEB ISD's programs. The building will also receive new stair towers and entrance vestibules on the north and south sides.
- Phase 0 (through early 2025) - Design development, preparing for construction, bid process.
- Phase 1 (2025, possibly 2026) - Construction of new stair towers, repair and renovation of interior spaces, minimal site work
- Phase 2 (After renovation of Bell Manor campus) - After KEYS High School moves to its permanent location, some additional work may be needed to convert the second floor for future use.
Note: All construction timelines are always estimates. Construction timelines can be impacted by many factors, such as extreme weather, supply chain issues, special events, and more.
In November 2023, HEB ISD voters approved a bond that included a proposal to tear down the FEW Center and move KEYS High School. The school district acquired the 1701 W. Euless Blvd. property to temporarily house KEYS during these projects, and as the long-term home for other programs house at FEW.
