2026-2027 Teacher Job Fair
HEB ISD is now accepting interest forms for the 2026–2027 Teacher Job Fair, an invitation-only event for future educators. Qualified applicants may have the opportunity to interview with campus leaders and participate in an expedited hiring process. Invitations are limited and will be sent by March 28, 2026. Anticipate teacher certification by May 2026.
The Teacher Job Fair will include time for applicants to mingle and visit with campus administrators. In addition, an area will be designated for formal interviews in the event an HEB ISD administrator is ready to conduct an interview. Formal interview invitations will be provided on the day of the Teacher Job Fair for highly qualified candidates.
*Job offers will not be extended to applicants during the Teacher Job Fair. However, should you receive a formal invitation from a campus administrator to interview for a vacant position at his or her campus, a principal may advise you that he or she is going to submit a Request to Hire to the Human Resources Department as early as March 30, 2026.
In addition to meeting and interviewing with campus administrators, department leaders will be available to answer questions related to special programs within HEB ISD.
Please note that this event is not open to the public, nor is it designed to meet the needs of those seeking a clerical, maintenance, paraprofessional, or administrative position within HEB ISD. Only applicants seeking teaching positions will be considered.

- Competitive Salary: for the 2025-2026 school year, HEB ISD teacher salaries start at $65,000.

- Bilingual Stipends: as of 2025-2026, HEB ISD offers a yearly stipend of $4,458 for certified bilingual teachers.
- Special Education Teacher Stipends: HEB ISD offers a yearly stipend of $1,500 for Instructional Resource, Content Mastery, Inclusion, Homebound, and Visually Impaired. Additionally, HEB ISD offers a yearly stipend of $2,500 for Blended PK, ECSE, FACI, PALS, VAC, MARC, PACES, BI, SABLE, and Behavior Specialists.
- Special Education Teacher Assistant Stipends: HEB ISD offers a yearly stipend of $1,500 for Instructional Resource, Content Mastery, and Inclusion. Additionally, HEB ISD offers a yearly stipend of $3,500 for Blended PK, ECSE, FACI, PALS, VAC, MARC, PACES, BI, SABLE, and Behavior Assistants.
- The HEB ISD Teacher Assistant to Teacher Program is an innovative way to transform teacher assistants into fully credentialed teachers through a partnership with an Alternative Certification Program. This program is specifically designed for current teacher assistants within HEB ISD who want to become teachers.
- The HEB ISD Educator in Training (EIT) opportunity is designed for individuals who hold a Bachelor’s degree and are enrolled in an approved alternative certification program (ACP). These applicants should apply directly to any posted teaching position on the HEB ISD Careers page rather than to a specific EIT job posting. (Note: There is no specific EIT posting). If a principal is interested, the applicant will be contacted for an interview. Candidates recommended to move forward in the hiring process may then be considered for placement as an Educator in Training. EITs receive a salary of $45,000.00 with eligibility for HEB ISD health benefits, leave days, and TRS retirement service credit.
