HEB ISD offers translation/interpretation assistance for parents or guardians of an HEB ISD student. This assistance can help parents communicate with teachers and school staff. We also offer this help for our HEB ISD staff, when they need help communicating with a student's parents or guardians. To get started, follow this link:

Language Testing
Upon enrollment for the first time to a Texas public or charter school, parents must fill out a Home Language Survey. If the response to any of the questions includes a language other than English, then we administer the language proficiency test. The results of the language proficiency test help districts identify any Emergent Bilinguals and if Bilingual or ESL services are required by the student. All language proficiency tests are administered by professionals or paraprofessionals who are proficient in the language of the test and trained in the language proficiency testing requirements of the test publisher.
