- Competitive Salary: for the 2025-2026 school year, HEB ISD teacher salaries start at $65,000.

- Bilingual Stipends: as of 2025-2026, HEB ISD offers a yearly stipend of $4,458 for certified bilingual teachers.
- Special Education Teacher Stipends: HEB ISD offers a yearly stipend of $1,500 for Instructional Resource, Content Mastery, Inclusion, Homebound, and Visually Impaired. Additionally, HEB ISD offers a yearly stipend of $2,500 for Blended PK, ECSE, FACI, PALS, VAC, MARC, PACES, BI, SABLE, and Behavior Specialists.
- Special Education Teacher Assistant Stipends: HEB ISD offers a yearly stipend of $1,500 for Instructional Resource, Content Mastery, and Inclusion. Additionally, HEB ISD offers a yearly stipend of $3,500 for Blended PK, ECSE, FACI, PALS, VAC, MARC, PACES, BI, SABLE, and Behavior Assistants.
- The HEB ISD Teacher Assistant to Teacher Program is an innovative way to transform teacher assistants into fully credentialed teachers through a partnership with an Alternative Certification Program. This program is specifically designed for current teacher assistants within HEB ISD who want to become teachers.
- The HEB ISD Educator in Training (EIT) opportunity is designed for individuals who hold a Bachelor’s degree and are enrolled in an approved alternative certification program (ACP). These applicants should apply directly to any posted teaching position on the HEB ISD Careers page rather than to a specific EIT job posting. (Note: There is no specific EIT posting). If a principal is interested, the applicant will be contacted for an interview. Candidates recommended to move forward in the hiring process may then be considered for placement as an Educator in Training. EITs receive a salary of $45,000.00 with eligibility for HEB ISD health benefits, leave days, and TRS retirement service credit.
- Benefits: The District contributes $300 per month to each employee’s health benefits package. HEB ISD truly focuses on the well-being of all employees and offers unique Fringe Benefits!
- Schools of Choice: HEB ISD offers a variety of educational opportunities including Spanish Immersion, Suzuki Strings, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), and International Baccalaureate as well as an International Business Initiative.
