Summer 2021 Activities
More programs will be added as their information is made available. Contact the school or department hosting the program for more information. Note that some summer programs have limited space and/or signup deadlines.

For elementary & secondary students:
HEB Reads! Summer Reading Program (School Libraries) - open to ages 1-99! HEB ISD partners with the city libraries for a free summer reading program, including online activities and many opportunities to win prizes.
Sports Summer Camps (Athletics) Develop your skills in sports like football, basketball, soccer, gymnastics, and more. Different camps have programs for different grade levels of students. More info: L.D. Bell High School Summer Athletic Camps or Trinity High School Summer Athletic Camps
Startalk Summer Academy (Global Initiatives) - Learn about Hindi, Mandarin Chinese, and Arabic and explore world culture. For students entering 6th-7th grade, students at intermediate level from 8th-11th grade may apply.
Summer Dining (Child Nutrition Department) - Each summer, select HEB ISD locations provide free meals for children.
Summer Learning Opportunities for Advanced Classes (Advanced Academics) - summer reading and learning opportunities for advanced academics classes, for 6th grade through 12th grade

Secondary Summer School (Curriculum Department) - These are the programs people usually think of as "summer school", including Credit Advancement & Credit Recovery.
Junior High Summer Success (Curriculum Department) - Program for students in 6th grade during 2020-2021 and need more support to be promoted to 7th grade.
