Parents, we would like to share an update regarding the threats made against staff and students at L. D. Bell High School several weeks ago.
The Hurst Police Department has released a statement that a suspect is in custody. Although their statement confirms that there was never any evidence of physical danger, be assured that school board policy provides strong repercussions for anyone who creates a threat against our students.
We thank you for your patience during this extensive investigation, and thank everyone who shared information with school administration or local law enforcement. It takes a community effort to protect school safety. If you or your student ever hear something that concerns you, please continue to share those concerns with school administration or local law enforcement.
I would also be remiss if I did not thank the Hurst Police Department for their continued partnership to ensure safety of Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD students.
