Culinary Arts students from the Buinger Career & Technical Education Academy excelled in two recent competitions:
Kaitlyn Flenker (Trinity) and Vivian Martin (Bell) competed in the Cheddar's Kids Fit Menu Challenge on Saturday, April 1st at the Cheddar's corporate kitchen in Irving. They finished in a tie for first. On Monday, April 8th they were recognized at the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association Scholarship Dinner. Their winning dish will be featured on the Cheddar's Kids Menu.
K'licia Richmond (Bell) competed in the NWTCC Flavor Fest USA Competition on Saturday, April 22nd at the Hollenstein CTE Center in Fort Worth and took first place. She won scholarship money and an invitation to guest chef at The Taste Project in Fort Worth.
