Attendance Champions for the 3rd Six Weeks of 2017-2018
Posted 02/21/2018 01:55PM

Attendance is vital to the learning process. When a student misses instruction, it takes more time for that student to catch up. The individual attention needed to help students catch up can disrupt the learning of an entire class. Because of the importance of attendance, our campuses focus on making sure students are in their seats and ready to learn, each and every class.

As a Continuous Improvement school district, we want to celebrate the work of our schools to keep attendance high. Each six weeks, any campus achieving 97% attendance will be recognized as attendance champions.

Leading into flu season during the 3rd six weeks of 2017-2018, only one school met the goal to be a student attendance champions:

  • Bedford Junior High *

We also recognize the importance of staff attendance, and we celebrate our employees' efforts to maintain high standards to support student success. For the 3rd six weeks of 2017-2018, our staff attendance champions are:

  • Bedford Heights Elementary
  • Bedford Junior High *
  • Bell Manor Elementary
  • Buinger CTE Academy
  • Euless Junior High
  • Homebound
  • KEYS High School
  • L.D. Bell High School
  • Lakewood Elementary
  • Oakwood Terrace Elementary
  • Shady Brook Elementary
  • Shady Oaks Elementary
  • Stonegate Elementary
  • Warehouse Department
  • West Hurst Elementary

* Schools on both the student and staff attendance champions lists
