General Transfer & School of Choice Applications

The Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD has specific guidelines and an application period for students to request a transfer for the upcoming school year. Applications are reviewed through a systematic process and granted to qualified students based on space and availability.

The 2026-2027 transfer window will be January 12, 2026 through March 13, 2026 at 4 pm. Transfer and Schools of Choice Application links will be posted on this page during the transfer window.

For the 2026-2027 School Year (next school year)

Fall 2026 - Kindergarten through 6th grade ("Elementary")

The 2026-2027 transfer window for elementary students is January 12, 2026 through March 13, 2026.

HEB ISD's Schools of Choice programs go beyond "core" curriculum. These limited-enrollment programs focus on specific, special topics.

Note: If a student applies for and receives a transfer in order to participate in a School of Choice program, the student's family will need to transport the student to school -- no bus transportation is provided.
