HEB ISD’s 2025-2026 Student Calendar starts 5 minutes earlier

(This information has also been emailed to all HEB ISD parents, families, and employees.)

At a recent board meeting, the Board of Trustees approved our Official School Calendar for the 2025-2026 school year. We appreciate your input, and from the results of that input, our employees and our community let us know that Calendar Draft A was the choice of our stakeholders. Please Note: Next school year’s calendar will start the school day five minutes earlier than the current school year. Beginning in August 2025, the elementary school day will start at 7:45 AM, junior high at 8:15 AM, and high school at 8:40 AM. This allows HEB ISD to fulfill common calendar requests we’ve received from HEB ISD families and staff, while still providing students with enough instructional minutes. 

Following our usual process, the Human Resources department will be sharing the board approved employee calendars with employees no later than the beginning of March.
