L.D. Bell Students Earn Prestigious Texas Theatre Scholar Distinction
HEB ISD and the Texas Thespians are proud to recognize five L.D. Bell High School students who have earned the Texas Theatre Scholar Award for the 2025–2026 school year.
Araceli Cruz, August Markle, Carolina Riddell, Grace Neill, and Jackson Setford were selected for this distinguished honor based on their excellence both in the classroom and on the stage.
The Texas Theatre Scholar Distinction celebrates students who exemplify dedication, discipline, and passion for theatre while maintaining strong academic performance. To qualify, students must be currently enrolled in their school, maintain membership in good standing with their campus theatre department, actively participate in theatrical programs during the school year, and earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or local equivalent. Students must also meet any additional campus criteria and demonstrate behavior and character that bring honor to their theatre department, school, and community.
These scholars represent the powerful intersection of artistry, scholarship, and character.
