Now Seeking: Participants for the HEB ISD Student Safety Task Force

Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD is seeking members of our community to serve on the district’s Student Safety Task Force. This group will examine current processes and laws surrounding prevention and response to inappropriate student behavior. Ultimately, representatives from this group will report their findings and recommendations to the HEB ISD Board of Trustees.

Our goal is to have 60-70 task force members. Depending on the applications received, we expect that the largest portion of the task force will be parents of current HEB ISD students. We also expect to include teachers, administrators, and other District employees; representatives from law enforcement and PTA; and a few high school students.

Task force meetings are scheduled to last from 6 to 8 p.m. on the three evenings listed below. (Dinner will be available starting at 5:30 p.m. before each task force meeting.) Attendance at each meeting is critical as information and understanding builds from one meeting to the next.

  • Meeting 1: Tuesday, April 22
  • Meeting 2: Tuesday, May 6
  • Meeting 3: Tuesday, May 13

If you are able to commit to attending all three meetings, and are interested in serving on this task force, please complete this questionnaire by Friday, April 11, 2025. Responses to this questionnaire will help the District ensure that the group represents a cross-section of HEB ISD stakeholders. The district will contact task force members via email by Monday, April 14, 2025.

Thank you for your consideration and for supporting our HEB ISD Family!
