HEB ISD schools dismissing on normal schedule -- allow time for safe travel (Friday, November 4, 2022)
(This message is also being emailed to all HEB ISD parents & families.)
We’d like to reassure you that our district and school employees are continuing to monitor weather conditions and forecasts for today, November 4, 2022. At this time, we plan to dismiss students on schedule at all HEB ISD schools. Please allow extra time for safe travel. If our bus drivers encounter high water on a road, they will seek alternate routes. At the elementary schools, Extended Day Academy will continue normally. For other afterschool activities, please watch for any updates or communications from the coach, director, or event organizer.
Our schools are prepared if weather conditions become severe. School leaders have reviewed their plans for sheltering students. In rare and extreme conditions, such as tornado activity near the school, the principal may temporarily deem it unsafe to remove students from shelter for dismissal. When this happens, students will be dismissed once the danger has passed.
