Siblings of MCE 3rd Graders can return to school on Monday, August 30

This message is also being sent to parents of 3rd grade students (who are not in FACI) on August 27, 2021.


Dear Meadow Creek Elementary 3rd Grade Families,

Tarrant County Public Health has issued updated guidance regarding same-household siblings of Meadow Creek Elementary’s 3rd graders.

Please continue to monitor same-household siblings of Meadow Creek Elementary 3rd graders for potential symptoms of COVID-19. Siblings may return to school on Monday, August 30, if they do not develop COVID-19 symptoms.

As a reminder, potential COVID-19 symptoms include:

  • Monitor yourself for any new or changing symptoms and seek medical care and/or a COVID-19 test for:
    • Major Symptoms: (1 symptom)
      • Fever (100 or higher) and/ or chills
      • Persistent cough
      • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
      • New loss of taste or smell
    • Minor Symptoms: (2 or more)
      • Sore throat
      • Congestion or runny nose
      • Diarrhea /nausea/vomiting
      • Sudden onset or persistent headache

If any same-household siblings develop potential COVID-19 symptoms, please seek medical care and/or a COVID-19 test. To report absences, please contact the office at the student’s school. These siblings’ absence from school today, August 27, will be an excused absence.
