Now Seeking: Interested Residents for HEB ISD Facility Planning Task Force
Posted: February 14, 2023
Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD is seeking members of our community to serve on the district’s Facility Planning Task Force. This group will help evaluate HEB ISD’s facilities and provide input on the district’s long-term facility plan. Ultimately, representatives from this group will report their findings and recommendations to the HEB ISD Board of Trustees.
Our goal is to select 40-50 task force members who represent a cross-section of our community. We want to ensure diversity and representation of all stakeholders and are seeking members from each area of the school district. We are hoping to include parents of current, former, and/or future students; business representatives; leaders from civic organizations and religious communities; alumni; former employees; current teachers; and a few high school students.
Task force meetings are scheduled to last from 6 to 8 p.m. on the five evenings listed below. (Dinner will be available starting at 5:30 p.m. before each Task Force meeting.) Attendance at each meeting is critical as information and understanding builds from one meeting to the next.
- Meeting 1: Tuesday, March 7
- Meeting 2: Wednesday, March 22
- Meeting 3: Wednesday, April 5
- Meeting 4: Wednesday, April 26
- Meeting 5: Wednesday, May 17
If you are able to commit to attending all five meetings, and interested in serving on this task force, please complete this questionnaire by Monday, February 20, 2023. Responses to this questionnaire will help the district ensure that the group represents a diverse cross-section of HEB ISD residents. You may also forward this link to a community member who would be a strong candidate to serve on the Facility Planning Task Force.
The district will contact those who are selected for the task force via email by Monday, February 27, 2023.
Thank you for your consideration and for supporting HEB ISD!
