Utility box artwork has been installed around the city of Hurst. One of 19 designs submitted by local artists and community members to transform Hurst utility boxes into art is by Molly Schmid, a 14-year-old HEB ISD student.
“Young people have a special connection to this city - we are the future of the communities we live in and go to school in,” Molly said. Her design reflects this by showing her Girl Scout troop cleaning up a neighborhood park.
The City of Hurst is excited about the opportunity to feature local artists around the city! Information on the artists and their designs will be available on our website in the coming weeks.
