2019-2020 Parent Education & Support Events

Each school year, HEB ISD offers a series of parenting events that are open to any parent or guardian who is interested in attending. New for 2019-2020, we have also added a series of Parent Support Group meetings!

Parent Support Groups

Our NEW Parent Support Groups will meet on the first Wednesday of each month and are meant to be a safe place for parents to gain knowledge and support, share their needs and support others going through the same struggles. Learn from other parents and District staff about other avenues for Mental Health/Behavioral support. No childcare provided.

Parent Support Group Dates: September 4, October 2, November 6, December 4, January 8, February 5, March 4, April 1, May 6. 5 PM to 6:30 PM – No Reservations Needed, Just Show Up
Parrent Support Group Location: Secondary DAEP, 1100 Raider Drive, Euless

 

Parent Education Events

  • Parents may attend any education event at any host school, even if the host school is not your home school.
  • Free child care will be available at each of these events.

Topic: Bullying - An overview with Tips for Parents on what to do if your child is being bullied. Tips for Youth to help youth understand the definition of bullying, how to recognize it, and ways/ideas youth can protect themselves.
