District Prepares to Induct 2023 Honorees into the HEB ISD Hall of Fame and Sports Hall of Fame

Six individuals with a history of involvement and support of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD will soon be preparing for their induction into the HEB ISD Hall of Fame. Additionally, the HEB Sports Hall of Fame will induct two individual honorees and one honor team.

These honorees will be inducted into the HEB ISD Hall of Fame and Sports Hall of Fame at a ceremony in February 2023. HEB ISD's Hall of Fame inducted its first group in November 2008 as part of the district's 50th anniversary celebration.

2023 HEB ISD Hall of Fame Inductees

  • Distinguished L.D. Bell Graduate -- Vance Cryer -- Retired U.S. Marine Colonel, Horatio Alger Award Recipient

  • Distinguished Trinity Graduate -- Myles Turner -- Center for the NBA's Indiana Pacers, 1st round draft pick

  • Distinguished Community Leader -- Shalyn Clark -- Long-time supporter of the HEB ISD Education Foundation; district adopter and volunteer.

  • Distinguished Volunteer -- Crystal Sadler -- Volunteer with school PTAs, PTA Clothes Closet, past president of HEB ISD Council of PTAs

  • Distinguished Former District Employee -- Andy Cargile -- Retired Trinity High School Principal; HEB ISD Board Member

  • Distinguished Former School Board Member -- Faye Beaulieu -- 26 years of service on HEB ISD Board; TASB President and Master Trustee

 

2023 HEB Sports Hall of Fame Inductees  

  • Craig Presnall -- L.D. Bell High School Class of ‘83, all-district baseball, all-state football, member of two Sports Hall of Fame teams (BHS Football '82 and BHS Baseball '83)

  • Michael “Doc” Pruitt -- Trinity High School athletic trainer 1983-2010, worked with all THS Hall of Fame individuals and teams during that time

  • Honor Team - L.D. Bell High School 2011 Baseball Team - Ranked 61st Nation-wide, District MVP later drafted to MLB, coached by Paul Gibson
