HEB ISD Mourns the Passing of Rochelle Ross

Rochelle RossIt is with deep sorrow that we inform our community of the passing of HEB ISD Board Vice President Rochelle Ross. Our hearts go out to Rochelle’s family during this difficult time.

Rochelle brought energy, enthusiasm, and joy as she volunteered her time and talents to support our students and schools. She first became a school trustee in May 2017 and was re-elected to place 4 in May 2021. She was selected by the Texas Association of School Boards to participate in Leadership TASB’s 2020 class and earned the title of Master Trustee.

"Rochelle’s enthusiasm and joy for the students of HEB ISD was truly contagious," said Dr. Joe Harrington, superintendent of schools. "This is a huge loss for our HEB ISD community."

As a member of the HEB ISD school board, Rochelle was an avid volunteer and familiar face in our schools and our community. "Rochelle has been a vital part of our Board of Trustees. Her service as a board member was fueled by her genuine love for our teachers and our students. She will be greatly missed," said HEB ISD Board President Matt Romero.

Update: Information about memorial services for Rochelle Ross is now available on the Forest Ridge Funeral Home website.
