Online Learning Extended for All BME Students through November 20, 2020

November 13, 2020

Dear Bell Manor Elementary Families,

Earlier this week, all Bell Manor students temporarily returned to online learning. Our school and district staff have continued to work with public health officials to determine when students can return. Together, we monitor the numbers of students and staff who have tested positive or been identified as "close contacts". We also look beyond the numbers at the details of each individual situation, to check for indications of increased spread of COVID-19 in our local community. Based on all of this information, Tarrant County Public Health has issued a Control Order that extends online learning for Bell Manor Elementary through Thanksgiving Break.

All Bell Manor Elementary students will continue online learning through Friday, November 20, 2020. Like the first three weeks of the school year, students will log in to Canvas and follow their usual schedule.

On Monday, November 30, 2020, Bell Manor students who have chosen traditional instruction will return to school for in-person instruction. If your student has chosen the online learning option, he or she will continue receiving online instruction.

Our school district’s Health Services department will continue to communicate regularly with officials at Tarrant County Public Health. If any additional changes become necessary, we will share that information with you as soon as possible.

If you have questions about COVID-19 or testing, please contact the Tarrant County Public Health hotline number at 817-248-6299 or your school nurse.

If you have questions about online learning, please email your child’s teacher, or contact the campus principal at kerimccarty@hebisd.edu.

Parents, we appreciate you. We knew that this school year would not be like any other year. We appreciate your willingness to work together and adapt to these new and unusual challenges. We look forward to continuing to work with you to provide students with the best education possible as safely as possible.
